The Quranic narrations of the prophets pave the way for the realization of discursive communication with children and adole-scents on the level of theology, philosophy, and ethics. They aim to guide, remind, admonish, and motivate their reader by means of a contextual account of the historical experiences made through the monotheistic prophet-hood. In this way, they can serve as a basis for becoming acquainted with other religions. In addition, they provide a basis for intellectual, ethical, and theo-logical discussions with pupils and contribute to the didactic diversity of a lesson. The framework curricula for Islamic religious instruction must specifically mention the Quranic narrations’ importance with regard to content and in relation to specific topics and expectations of competency and appropriately describe their utilization of didactic methods.
