The Potential for the Formation (Bildung) of Religions made accessible for Pupils
A Plea for Religious Education conceptualized corporately by Religions
Keywords:
Religionsunterricht – Bildungsauftrag der Schule – Identität und Religion – Religionskunde – Religiöse UrteilskraftAbstract
The thesis of this article is that in spite of recent challenges Religious Education is still an integral part of the general education in schools. However, considered realistically the traditional concept of RE separated by denomination cannot be perpetuated in the long run. A neutral RE is not an adequate alternative. Instead of that the author pleads for a RE for which interested religions together will bear responsibility.
