Abstract

In their activities in the digital world, adolescents and young adults encounter a wide range of offers of meaning that not only inform or entertain, but are also dedicated to fundamental ethical and religious questions. Although this so-called religious sinnfluencing is a niche subject on social media, it has a multifaceted and steadily increasing character. A religious education debate from a Muslim-Christian perspective on the topic of sinnfluencing therefore took place at the 6th conference of the forum Zukunftsfähiger Religionsunterricht. This report gives a detailed insight into the conference and its seven presentations, explores and links the points of discussion that arose and summarizes the most important findings on a topic that is more topical than ever before.
